MY BOOKSHELF// A THOUSAND SPLENDID SUNS

Ahlan wa sahlan

I used to read so much and now I barely have the time.

This may be old news to some of you as it was released in 2007 but I've had this tucked away for ages and I can't wait to read it. It's by Khaled Hosseini, he's Afgan-American and is most famous for his novel/movie The Kite Runner.

When I think of MENA and the areas which have been swallowed up by war, Afgan is just one place that springs to mind. I can't imagine what's it's like to live in such volatile and uncertain circumstances, especially as a woman. I've heard great things about this books and hoping it can transport me to that place. I can't wait to get reading. I'll try and write up a blog post once I'm finished.

Ma'a salama
