Think: no flight tickets, no haggling just lots of MENA inspired fashion in my edition of your
High Street Souk.
It seems my posts are starting to consist of shopping, you're getting to know me well! I was out with my loved ones when I came across this Khamsa chain necklace in New Look so I just had to take a snap for you. It's a long gold chain, with the Khamsa hand pendant and a blue stone in the middle. I think it cost £4-6 but I can't seem to find it on their website.
It seems that more and more khamsa, Middle East and North African inspired fashion is currently hitting our high street. So ladies, I wanted to put together a High Street Souk edition, just for you. Think: no flight tickets, no haggling just lots of MENA inspired fashion in my edition of your High Street Souk.
Starting off with the traditional / vintage inspired pieces...
I love love LOVE this necklace so much. This is officially on my wish list. Any jewellery with coins is something that I would love, wear and cherish for a long time. I've found another from Topshop below.
I can see a collection starting! I'll take this one too please! That way I can swap between gold and silver. I can't express enough how much I love these arabian inspired coin necklaces.
I love tribal looking jewellery, this particular necklace is silver with blue stone embellishment. It reminds me of berber style necklaces.
This necklace is made up of multiple chains and beads, it not only comes in red but also blue.
This is a little subtle compared to the others, so it can be worn during the day, but you can still get the statement look. I would team this with a plain t-shirt, jeans, boots and a short jacket. Let the neck do the talking. Simples!
Now onto the final 3... modern collars.
This silver look collar contains semi precious stones, the blue and silver goes really well.
I was in two minds about adding this, but when I saw this I was instantly attracted to it. It screams out modern day Egypt to me. On that note...
If you can't quite afford or get your mitts on the collar that I once saw at the V&A museum then this is just as good from ASOS, and it's a bonus that it comes in a Rose Gold colour, which has been my colour of 2012. This is worth investing in and keeping as it will go with anything and is a timeless classic.
Which one is your favourite?
Do you own or have you found any pieces that you are really proud of and wear all of the time?
